The month of March is often said to come in like a lion and out like a lamb. While this may be true in the snowy and cold states, in Hawaii the weather variable is usually only 5 degrees. Nevertheless, the idea of life being hard and then easing up is quite appealing to me. When I remember that life moves in cycles and everything changes, I am able to relax and trust that whatever is happening, no matter how difficult it may be, will pass. The gift of learning this acceptance of life has come with experience. When I was younger I always yearned for some fantasy in the future that would fill my life with immense joy. Now, I rest easy in the moment, allowing life to gently massage me with her sometimes soft caress and sometimes deep tissue strokes. I’ve let go of needing to understand the process, control it, or judge it. Instead, I am happy to be alive and enjoy life as a holy expression of the divine being in the perfect moment right now.
